2003 Cannondale R600

Considering I've ridden mountain bikes for the last twelve years, never really ridden a road bike, haven't touched clipless pedals in six years, and am generally inclined to be somewhat sweaty and wheezy, the task of powering this thing as quickly as possible isn't something that is likely to come too naturally.

So, unfamiliarity aside, how is it? Well, with the caveat that I know next to nothing about road bikes (and that at the time of writing, I've only actually ridden it once), it feels pretty good to me. The most impressive thing was that I was expecting to feel every stone in the tarmac through the skinny tyres and fat aluminium frame, but it felt great. And at the same time, the frame and the ISIS chainset felt agreeably stiff under power.

All in all, it seems like it'll do the job nicely. I'm slightly nervous that I may have been better off with the next size up, but it's a bit late for that now. Better just get on and ride the thing, really.
