See below for actual spec (although it's similar to what you see here) |
I've finally decided it's time I had a cross bike, and I've reached the point of "one in one out" for the garage, so one bike has to go. And since this was the last one to arrive, and it's very similar to my Lava Dome, it makes sense for this one to have to go - although it's a bit of a shame, as being very similar to my favourite bike means it's very nice. But hey.
Spec will be as follows. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are new, or used for less than 10 miles.
Frame: On-One Inbred 20" singlespeed, DN6 Mk1, corrected for 80mm forks, track ends, canti bosses
Fork: Marzocchi Z5 air
Wheels: Sun Rhyno Lite, DT spokes, DMR Revolver hubs, all black*
Tyres: Choose between Conti Vert ProTection, Tioga DH*, Specialized something-or-other*, or I've probably got all sorts lying around
Brakes: Deore LX non-parallelogram V brakes
Levers: Avid SD5*
Cranks: Deore LX Octalink
Chainring: Blackspire DH/DS 36T*
Freehub: Shimano 18T*
Bottom bracket: Shimano Octalink
Headset: Cane Creek C2*
Stem: Choose from 3T THE*, Tioga Cube*, maybe a couple of others
Bar: Syncros riser*
Seatpin: Choose from Titec X-Wing, USE suspension (newly overhauled)
Saddle: Flite or Flite Alpes, you choose
Pedals: Planet X Clingon 2* - although if you use SPDs I'll keep them and you can have a few quid off
Chain: PC-89R
Condition wise there are a couple of things: the forks are cosmetically tatty, although they seem functionally fine and dandy. And one of the cranks is a little intimate with the BB axle, although the BB is running perfectly. It means that when you do eventually need to replace the BB, you'll probably need to undo the bolt and ride round for a bit. Other than that, everything's sound, and many of the parts, including the wheels, headset and half the drivetrain are brand new.
I'm looking for £350 for the bike depending on what spec you fancy, and I'd rather have it collected from Petersfield or deliver it if you're in the south. This also means you can see and/or ride it before you buy it. I will post if I really need to, but you're paying :o)
In case it's not already obvious, the disc brake you see in the pic is NOT included, although if you're mad keen for it and willing to pay then you might be able to twist my arm, and there may be an option of 165 or 185mm rotor depending on what spare brackets I've got.
Drop me an email via the 'contact me' link on the left if you're interested.

i what to buy the bike
Stewart Pratt, 08:30 25 Mar 2004
Thankyou for that Mr Peters, and also for your email which demonstrated a similar rudimentary grasp of the English language. If you do actually 'what' (what?) to buy the bike then by all means please drop me another line, and if it's vaguely coherent then I may even be convinced that you might actually intend to send me money, and in fact not be a Nigerian scammer. But somehow I doubt it.
